Early build of Pivot Clone
It seems there’s someone else attempting to take a stab at creating a Pivot-like animating tool. A member of
Droidz named Waterfox
started a thread about a clone of Pivot he is making and how he was looking for testers. Unlike other apps like XPivot/PivotX which modifies resources of the original Pivot, this one was built over the last 5 months from scratch in C++ and only works on Windows Vista/WIndows 7 at the moment. He released a download for a very early build of the app, and as you can see in the picture above, there’s an “Opacity” slider and the lines are antialiased – clear indicators that this is a “from scratch” build and not just a mod of the original Pivot source.
It will be very interesting to see where Waterfox takes this… stay tuned!

Opacity would be awesome to have, no more transparency stks! Animating with windows, water, andd explosions would be so much easier. Too bad it doesn’t work with xp
